Obituary

Reggie (Ronald) L. Gallegos-Schwarz, 56, of Brush, died January 13, 2012 of catastrophic liver failure at University Hospital in Denver. Reggie was born in Alamosa on December 1, 1955. He grew up in Brighton and graduated from Brighton High School. He then attended and graduated from the Barnes Business School. For the past 14 years he has lived in Morgan County with his life partner of 23 years. He worked as a waiter in Arizona, California and Colorado. He last worked at the River City Grill in Sterling. His passions were his animals, gardening, country air and Katherine and Baron his niece and nephew. Everything Reggie did was with his whole heart, whether it was feeding a baby calf or waiting on a customer. If he waited on you, you knew you were his #1 customer. His sparkle and whirlwind personality will truly be missed! He was preceded in death by his grandma Frances, his mom, Katherine, his mother, Mary, sister Jannie and two brothers, Gilbert and Ernie. There will be a Wednesday night gathering at the farm at 6:00 pm for prayer, candles, incense, and stories. A Memorial service will be held Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the United Methodist Church in Ft. Morgan. The Heer and Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
