Ronald "Footy" Von Loh, 70, lifetime Morgan County resident, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. He was born December 5, 1943 in Fort Morgan, CO, to William and Julia Von Loh. Footy graduated from Wiggins High and took All-State basketball in 1962. He was the kicker for the football team as well. This is where he coined the nickname "Footy", from his coach in high school. Footy was self-employed mechanic for nearly 50 years, anything with an engine, he fixed it. Footy was recently born again and came to know his Lord. He was great with his hands and very artsy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, and sports. Footy and his brothers would participate in the quarter mile drag races; he always maintained the engines to perfection. He loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his sister, Ellen Swenson, and her husband David, of Halliday, ND; five brothers, Allen, and his wife, Margy of Colorado Springs; Willis, and his wife, Gayle of Johnstown; twin, Raymond, and his wife, Judy of Wiggins; George, and his wife, Faye of Falkville, AL, James, and his wife, Jan of Aurora; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers Faye, Paul, and an infant. Graveside service will be Friday October 3, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Hoyt Cemetery in Wiggins.
