On Sunday, January 3, 2021, Rose "Rosie" Luna, loving mother and grandmother and long time area resident, passed away at the age of 76.

Rosie was born on September 8, 1944 in Sterling, CO to Alexander K. and Benilda (Salas) Luna. She graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1964, and enjoyed a 45 year long career which included Mountain Bell Telephone Company, Kmart, and Murdoch's Ranch & Home Supply. She raised one daughter, Jana.

Rosie had a passion for family. She also loved to cook, and she combined her two favorite delights to create an at-home restaurant experience like no other! Her culinary creations were much admired not only by family and friends, but also by coworkers fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time. She was also an avid horse lover who adored barrel racing and rodeos and a noteworthy extra in 1994's Dumb and Dumber Mockingbird Scene which was a memorable highlight in her life. She was known for her fun-loving personality, generosity, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Rosie was preceded in death by her father, Alex, her mother, Benilda, two brothers, Alex Jr. and Robert "Bobby", two infant twin brothers, Alex and Alvin, one sister, Helen, one infant sister, Pilar, and brother-in-law, Herman Keller. She is survived by her daughter Jana (Scott) Trautwein, her granddaughter, Alia, her brother Dave (Mary) Luna, her sister Josie Keller, her sister-in-laws Rafaelita "Ralfie" Luna and Eve Luna, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A private service will be held at Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan, CO,  Internment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan, CO.
