Rose K. Weimer, 97, resident of Fort Morgan, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Valley View Villa. Rose passed on the same day as her favorite TV personality, Bob Barker of "The Price is Right".

Rose was born October 8, 1925 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Phillip & Catherine (Reiber) Gammel. She was the second youngest out of seven kids.

Rose married Reinhart Weimer on Dec 8, 1942. She enjoyed being a farmer's wife and driving the tractor. Rose was the first woman to drive the beet truck to the Fort Morgan sugar factory. Over the course of her 67-year marriage, she enjoyed quilting, making between 80 and 100 quilts, getting together with other quilter ladies, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Sandy (Weimer) Cowen and Robert Weimer, both of Fort Morgan; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Weimer) Loos, Wendolyn Weimer, and Corey Cowen; great grandchildren, Kori Maier, Jaden Penfold, Matthew Weimer, Devjuan Wofford, Gabriell Wofford, Jarrett Weimer, Brayden Weimer; great-great grandchildren, Everleigh Weimer, Brynleigh Weimer, and Grayson Wofford.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband Reinhart, her granddaughter Lori Weimer, and her 5 brothers and 1 sister.
