ROY C. INGMIRE, 83, lifelong Morgan County resident, died Wednesday evening, February 22, 2012 at Medical Center of The Rockies in Loveland. He was born in Fort Morgan on September 29, 1928 to Noah & Ethel (Driscoll) Ingmire. He attended area schools and served in the U.S. Navy after graduating high school. Roy married Beverly Lefforge in Brush on August 17, 1952. Roy drove a gas truck for Hall Brothers Texaco for a number of years before running his own station, Roy's Texaco. Roy ran the station for over 27 years before his retirement. Roy was also a retired volunteer fireman and he had also drove an ambulance for Morgan County Ambulance Service. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan, the Elk's Lodge, and the V.F.W. Post 2551. He won Pioneer of The Year Award in Morgan County in 2002. Roy enjoyed old cars and camping. His family was most important to him, especially his grandchildren. Roy is survived by his wife, Beverly Ingmire of Fort Morgan; three children, Gary and his wife, Laura of Brighton, Richard Ingmire and his wife, Leta of Fort Morgan, and Pamela Ingmire and her husband, Ben Slater of Greeley. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, Jamie Ingmire, Stacy Brownlee, Jennifer Simpson, Nicholas Ingmire, Stephani Ingmire, Joseph Ingmire, and Shay Slater, 5 great grandchildren; and his two sisters, Donna Schilling and Maxine Galyk, both of Brush. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Elton Ingmire. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 25th at the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan with military honors conducted by the V.F.W. Post 2551.
