Ruby M. Sharp, 85, passed away early Thursday, January 17, 2008, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born December 30, 1922, in Fort Scott, KS, to Oren & Fannie McReynolds. On April 2, 1939, she married Virgil L. Sharp in Fort Scott. In 1945 the Sharp family moved to NE Colorado. Ruby was a member of the Morgan Church of the Nazarene. She was very involved in the church before her health began to fail. She taught Sunday School, sang, and helped with most all functions in the church. She enjoyed doing craft work and embroidery handwork. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Dorothy Blessing, and her husband Vale, of Akron; Howard Sharp, and his wife Audrey, and Harold Sharp and his wife, Doreen, all of Mesa, AZ; and Helen Watson, and her husband, Barney of Sterling; 1 brother, Glenn McReynolds of Fort Scott, KS; 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great – great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband; 2 brothers, Don & Lee; 1 sister, Marie, and her parents. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at 10:30 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel, 222 Cameron Street in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary on Monday from 2 – 5 PM. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Activity Department at Eben Ezer Care Center in Brush.
