Ruth Elaine Loomis,87, longtime area resident, died Monday, October 17, 2016 at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan.

Elaine was born July 31, 1929 in Orchard, Colorado to Adra and Martha (Groves) Clark.

She was a member of the Life Fellowship Church in Fort Morgan.

Elaine enjoyed cooking, collecting cook books, and gardening. Her family was very important to her, especially her children and grandchildren.

Her survivors include, two daughters, Christy Hudspeth (Bob) of Mitchell, Oregon, and Andrea Jarrell (Calvin) of Fort Morgan, four sons, Steve Loomis (Jody) of Snyder, Ade Loomis (Candie) of Fort Morgan, Bob Loomis (Deb) of Merino, and Dale Loomis of Fort Morgan, thirty-two grandchildren, many many great grandchildren, and also some great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Bud Loomis of Fort Morgan.

Elaine was preceded in death by two infant sisters and her parents.

Funeral Services will be Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10:30 am at the Life Fellowship Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.
