Ruth B. Morgan, 88, of Loveland, CO, went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, December 11, 2007. She was born March 4, 1919, in Brush, CO, to Henry & Barbara (Kauffman) Brandt. She grew up and attended schools in the Fort Morgan area. Ruth also attended Parks Business School in Denver where she studied bookkeeping. She worked for Russell Stover Candy Company in Denver and Stenback Finance in Fort Morgan. On November 23, 1950, Ruth married Boyer E. Morgan in Brush. They celebrated 46 years of marriage, making their home in the Fort Morgan area. After Boyer's passing, Ruth moved to Loveland. Ruth was an active member of Immanuel Evangelical Church in Fort Morgan. She loved her Lord and doing His work. In years past, Ruth taught Sunday School and Bible studies, sang in the choir, and served in the Ladies Fellowship. Ruth treasured spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies were doing needle work, backing German dishes, playing the piano, and reading, especially God's Word. She was a former member of the Fort Morgan Hospital Auxiliary and worked in the hospital gift shop. Survivors include her son, Todd Morgan, and his wife, Donna, of Brush; daughter, Jolene Van Amerongen, and her husband, Ken, of Loveland; her grandchildren, Robbie, Jenny, Amy, and Alyssa; one brother, Harry Brandt, and his wife Ruth, of Fort Morgan; three sisters, Elsie Naill, and her husband, Lyle, of Fort Morgan; Edna Erosky, and her husband, Henry, of Denver, and Dorothy Kamanski, and her husband, Charlie, of Henderson, NV; two sisters-in-law, Lydia Brandt of Sun City, AZ, and Marva Jeanne Brandt of Denver; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyer; five brothers, Ray, Henry, Dan, Albert, and LeRoy; and her parents. Funeral services will be Monday, December 17, at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Evangelical Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan on Sunday from 2 – 4 PM.
