Ruth V. Pogorelz, 93, longtime Morgan County resident, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at the Life Care Center in Greeley.  She was born May 2, 1928, in Denver to LeRoy and Mary Clarke.

Ruth married John Pogorelz on June 11, 1949 in Denver, CO.  In 1957 the Pogorelz family moved to Morgan County.  Ruth loved living in the country.  She was a member of Buckskin Brigade and Fort Morgan Saddle Club.  She enjoyed farming and ranching, her horses, and artistic work including painting, pen and ink, and wood burning nature and wildlife pictures.

Survivors include her children Marjorie (Greg) Pope of Casper, WY, Robert (Sandy) Pogorelz of Fort Morgan, Mary (John) Endres of Greeley, and Christine (Patrick) Sauvageau of Anchorage, AK; a sister Charlotte Corah of Englewood, CO, a brother George Clarke of Golden, CO; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John M., a son John R. Pogorelz; 2 sisters Wilma Griffith and Gertrude Kordziel; and 1 granddaughter Jocelyn Pogorelz.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 10:00 AM at the Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan.  Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery.
