Ruth Ann Schocke's Obituary
Ruth Schocke of Fort Morgan passed away January 10, 2018, at the Eben-Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush, Colorado, where she had been a resident for the last several years.
Ruth was born May 9, 1925 at Weldona, Colorado, to Warren and Verna Blodgett. She graduated from Weldona High School and received her Registered Nursing Degree from St. Francis Nursing School in Denver. She worked for many years as nursing assistant for Dr. William Mellinger at the Fort Morgan Medical Group. Ruth was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Church in Fort Morgan.Ruth married Leo A. Schocke on September 9, 1948 in Greeley and they made their home in Fort Morgan. Leo passed away in 2002.
She is survived by her son, John (Rosalie), of Tucson, Arizona, grandsons, Paul of Tucson, and Matthew (Lindsey) of Acworth, Georgia, and her brother Warren Blodgett, Guthrie, Oklahoma, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Douglas and Jim, sisters Frances Nelson, Frieda Moss, Doris Anderson, and Betty Kath.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
