RUTH SCHRUM, 82, of Fort Morgan, died Sunday morning, June 6, 2010 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. She was born October 6, 1927 in North Dakota to Jacob and Rebecca(Geisler) Hartman. She married Ivan Schrum on June 24, 1950 in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She has lived in Fort Morgan since 1973. Mrs. Schrum enjoyed country music, spending time with her family and babysitting her grandchildren. She was also a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include her two sons, Jerry and Terry Schrum, both of Fort Morgan; three daughters, Cathy Schrum and Cindy Harms, both of Fort Morgan, and Jackie Thomas of Brush; two brothers, Clifford Hartman and Herbert Hartman, both of Oklahoma. She also survived by eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Alvina Ferber, and her two brothers, Harold Hartman and Art Hartman. Visitation will be today, June 8th from 4 – 6 PM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan. A funeral service will be Wednesday, June 9th at 2:00 PM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
