David was born in Denver, Colorado, on March 13 ^th , 1956, to Samuel and Betty Vigil of Brighton, Colorado.  David was a loving spouse, dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather who passed away after a long fight with cancer, on January 19 ^th, 2023, at the age of 66.

He was a manager and youth leader at the very young age of 16 years old. He got his GED and completed Cosmetology and Barber school at the young age of 19 years old.  Dave then became a business owner of Hair Wizards and cut hair for many years. He became a volunteer firefighter and EMT while attending Electronical Engineering College. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in engineering from Auraria Campus in Denver, CO. He then became the general manager of American Cable Vision of Littleton, Colorado, until he became injured. Dave then opened his first restaurant and bar in Bailey, CO, and he opened an additional Hair Wizards. Dave moved to Brush, CO, in 1987 and opened Los Tres Amigos with his parents and wife. He also opened a Hair Wizards in Brush and ran these businesses until he could no longer handle long working days. Dave then got a CDL license and drove oversized loads coast to coast with his wife, Cathy.

Dave's hobbies included his love for the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping with his family. He also loved traveling. When his girls were growing up, he would load them in the motorhome for summer breaks and take them wherever his heart desired. David loved his family, and spending time with them took presidents over anything else.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy L. Vigil, of 50 years. His three daughters are Melissa, Jennifer (Chuy), and Rebecca of Brush, Colorado. David is survived by his sisters, Susan and Cynthia of Brighton, CO. Dave is also survived by his three grandsons, Ezeakyl (Nayeli Cabral), Ezstefan, and Justyce, and five granddaughters Lexi (Daniel) of Sterling, CO, Gabreyella, Haley, Izabella and Harmony of Brush. Dave is also survived by five great-grandsons, Izayah, Mayson, Jaxon, Bentley, and Cameron, and his first great-granddaughter, to be born in March 2023. Dave also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends.

He proceeded in death by his mom Betty Vigil and father, Sam D. Vigil. His brother Larry Vigil and sister Evelyn Vigil.

Dave will be missed tremendously, as he has impacted many lives in his 66 years. He was funny, humble, and cherished life and his family endlessly.  David was a great person who was spontaneous and always had a smile throughout his long illness.
