Carroll W. Scott and Melissa Brasselero Scott were blessed with the birth of Samantha Kaye Scott on September 24, 1995. She passed away unexpectedly on October 27, 2018 from a sudden illness.

For the short time she was with us, she blessed us with so much; her smile was always there in whatever she was doing.

Samantha's strong love of family and friends was very easy to see behind that smile. Whether she was playing basketball or performing gymnastics through high school, she dedicated herself to being her best self. After graduating from Fort Morgan High School in 2014, Samantha attended Kansas State University, majoring in Architectural Engineering, all the while being an integral part of the K-State Women's rowing team as a coxswain.  Entering her 5 ^th year, she was the top coxswain seat for the team while garnering Academic All Big 12 Honors in her studies. Samantha was well loved by her university family and teammates as well as her family. She will be missed deeply.

Survivors include her parents, Carroll (CW) and Melissa; brother, Casey; grandmother, Karen Scott and grandfather, Dale Adams; uncle, John Scott; cousin, Demri Scott and many cousins and close friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018, at 2:00 PM at the Fort Morgan High School Auditorium.  The service will conclude at the school. The Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that those wishing to do so may contribute to the K-State Women's Rowing or the Architectural Engineering Dept. at K-State in Samantha's name, both in c/o the Heer Mortuary.
