Sandra Sue Christensen, age 68, spent her final day in this world surrounded by her loving family. She passed from this earth on November 25th, 2012. Her crossing accentuates a full life marked by joyous occasions and driven by a loving, compassionate soul. Her departure teaches that every day is to be lived with purpose, and every moment savored. Sandra was born to Willard and Pauline Busby in St. Francis, Kansas on September 6th, 1944. This union produced not only a loving daughter, but a loyal wife, and beloved mother, whose spirit elevated the lives of those she touched. Sandra wed Jens Christensen and shared her life with him. She was a mother to many including Cindy Christensen, Tom Christensen, Lorna Kishimoto, Christopher Christensen, Carrie Mehling, and David Christensen. Her greatest happiness was her role as revered grandmother of twelve. During her life, Sandra became an accomplished seamstress, using her talents to help others rejoice in cherished life moments. She was an avid antique collector, and served as an active partner in C&C Bailbonds. While her last years were wrought with suffering and sickness, she remained stoic, never complaining and always counting her blessings. Sandra's life could be likened to a candle in a dark room, granting warmth, safety, and reassurance to those huddled around her. She is no longer bound to the travails of this corporeal existence, but without her light, the day is not so luminous. And so we say goodbye to her beautiful soul with the knowledge that, in time, we will meet her embrace again and know it for the first time. A celebration of her life will be held at The All Saints Church in Brush, Colorado on December 1st, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. Any and all who were fortunate enough to experience Sandy's life are invited to attend. Burial Services will be held the following day, December 2nd, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at The Saint Francis Cemetery in Saint Francis, Kansas. All interested persons are welcome. The family would like to offer their heartfelt gratitude to those dedicated professionals extending their care to Sandra in her times of need.
