Sandra Elizabeth
Geist
Dec 4, 1940 — Jul 13, 2026
Morgan County
Sandra Elizabeth Geist (Loose) 85, lifelong Morgan County resident died Monday July 13, 2026, at Eben Ezer.
Sandra was born on December 4, 1940, to Jacob and Elizabeth (Meininger) Loose. She had nine siblings and they resided on their family farm. She married Edward Geist on May 26, 1961. Together they made their home in Log Lane where she helped run Eddie's Repair for 38 years, answering phones, scheduling repairs and keeping up the business books all while raising four children.
Sandra enjoyed cooking, crocheting, watching her daily soaps, playing cards with her grandkids and great grandkids and she never missed her weekly WWE Raw night! She loved going and watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She spent many summer nights in the outfield of softball games cheering with a couple of horn honks after a good play or solid base hit! You would often catch her at the racetrack on Saturday nights cheering on her favorite driver or years ago, with her notebook keeping track of all the drivers time trials. During Christmas time the tops of her washer and dryer were always filled with platters upon platters of delicious Christmas treats! Her Chicken Noodle soup could cure any sickness or help with any post-surgery recovery and her krautbieriok and grebbel were most requested by her family!
Sandra is survived by her children, Clint (Becky Haley), Brett (Shauna), Bev (Charles) Walker and Kurt; her grandchildren, Mindy (Eric) Smith, Heather (Josh) Horton, JR Mylander, Wayne (Nicole) Mylander; her great grandchildren, Brody, Kinser and D Smith, Zachary Geist, Morgan and CT Horton, Liam, Watson, Oaklynn and Brixley Mylander and many step grand and step great grandchildren. She is also survived by a very special friend, Tina Cuckow. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her siblings.
The family would like to thank Eben Ezer for the care of Sandra over the past five years, especially in her final days.
Funeral services will be held at Heer Mortuary, 225 East Platte Ave. in Fort Morgan on Wednesday July 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Services will conclude at Serenity Falls Columbarium.
Sandra has requested that casual attire be worn in attendance to her services.
