Sarah Koehler, 89, of Brush, passed away early Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. She was born April 8, 1918, in Eads, CO, to George & Emma Louise Gerlock. She married Reinhold Koehler in Brush on December 22, 1935. Sarah had worked as a nurse's aide for several years at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center and Hospital. She enjoyed working with crafts, especially sewing, embroidery work, quilting and knitting. Her family was her life and she enjoyed spending time with them and making things for them. Survivors include her children, Don Koehler and Carolyn Greenwood both of Brush. Pat Hillyer of Enid, OK, and Dan Koehler of Julesburg, CO; 2 brothers, Fred Gerlock and Ed Gerlock both of La Junta, CO, 2 sisters, Lindy Dodd of Kansas City, MO, and Katie Zimmerman of Pueblo, CO; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 brother, 2 sisters, and her parents. A celebration of Sarah's life will be held Friday, June 8, 2007, at the Snyder Bible Church, in Snyder, CO, at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary in Brush on Thursday from 2 – 6 and Friday from 10 – 11:30 AM
