Scott A. Galyk, 56, former Brush resident, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020, following an extended illness.  He was born March 7, 1964, in Fort Morgan to Anthony & Maxine Galyk.

Scott graduated from Brush High School in 1982.  He received his bachelors degree from the University of North Colorado in 1987 and his masters degree from Regis University in 2002.  Prior to illness forcing his retirement, Scott worked as the CIO for a software manufacturing company.   Scott was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his daughters, Kelsi Galyk and Kendall Maccagnan; and his sister, Merrie (Chad) Cox; 1 niece Brooklyn Cox; and 2 nephews Caleb Cox and Levi Cox.  Also by 1 uncle, Mike (Janet) Galyk; several aunts, Laura Ingmire, Jane Miner, Sunny Galyk, and Camille Galyk.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 31, 2020, at the Brush Memorial Cemetery Interment Chapel (gazebo) at 10:30 AM.  Inurnment will be in the Brush Cemetery Columbarium immediately following service.
