Sean Michael McFarland, 23, life resident of the Fort Morgan area, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021, of injuries suffered in an ATV crash.  He was born January 6, 1998, in Fort Morgan to Michael Dean & Shannon Dawn McFarland.

Sean graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 2017.  He was a farmer at the time of his death.  On June 5, 2021, he married Karly Pflager in Fort Morgan.

Sean enjoyed sports – both as a spectator and a participant, stock car racing, hunting, fishing, showing American Bullies, and working on 4-H projects.  His favorite time was spending quality time with family and friends. Sean was well known for his kind heart and contagious smile and laugh. Sean was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. His hard work ethic and ambitious personality was admired by all of those who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Karly and their unborn daughter; his parents, Mike McFarland and Shannon Walker; his siblings, Michelle McFarland, Chris McFarland, Amanda Walker, and Dakota Walker; his grandparents Betty Jean Harless and Charles E. McFarland; many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins; and his in-laws, Kent & Jan Pflager and Terri Lynn & Anthony Schaffert; Terry and Carol Covelli, Janice Pflager and many brother and sister in-laws.

A memorial celebration will be held Wednesday, July 7, at 10:30 AM at the Fort Morgan United Methodist Church.  The service will conclude at the church.  Cremation under the direction of the Heer Mortuaries & Crematory, has taken place.   Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Sean McFarland Memorial Fund for Karly and their daughter c/o the Heer Mortuary & Crematory.
