Selma R. Fuerst, 90, longtime Brush resident, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at the East Morgan County Hospital.  She was born May 29, 1929, in Merced, California, to Sam & Della Fisher.

Selma married Elmer Fuerst in 1945 in California.  In 1952 the Fuerst family moved to Brush.  She was a very active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed music and sewing.

Survivors include her daughter, Rosemary Hoffman of Fort Morgan; 2 sisters, Betty (Chet) McCoy and Maxine Wood all of Brush; 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 3 great – great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, Sam; one sister, Darline Fisher and her parents.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 14, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Brush Memorial Cemetery Interment Chapel (gazebo).  Inurnment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery Columbarium.  In keeping with the COVID-19 guidelines, please use necessary personal protective equipment as you are most comfortable with.  Attendees may wish to bring their own chair to be seated during the service.
