Shanna J. Norris, 71, longtime area resident, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the Eben-Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush.

She was born May 12, 1945 in Blair, Nebraska to R. Cecil and Bessie Davis.

She graduated from Montrose High School and later attended Parks Business School in Denver. She met Roger Norris of Colorado Springs and they were married April 27, 1966 in Last Chance, Colorado. They lived in Colorado Springs until February of 1977 when his job with CDOT brought them to Fort Morgan. Shanna worked in Fort Morgan for Gambles, Alco and lastly JC Penney Co.

Shanna enjoyed gardening, cross word puzzles, word find games, and jig saw puzzles. She also collected pennies, and various coins, and M&M Characters.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Roger Norris of Fort Morgan, one daughter, Melinda I. Whaley and her husband Rick, two granddaughters, Tandee and Chelsea, and one great grandson Grant M. Marin all of Fort Morgan, and her daughter's husband's parents, Bob and Yvonne Whaley, one sister Cheryl Selan and her husband Dave, one brother, Don Davis and wife Cathy all of Grand Junction. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends and neighbors in Fort Morgan.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 10:30 am at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow at Glen Cemetery, which is south and east of Last Chance, Colorado.
