Sharon Rose Foreman, 73, Morgan County resident for over 30 years, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan.  She was born January 2, 1945, in Colorado Springs, CO, to Otis & Lillian (Haberthier) Thom.

Sharon graduated from Simla, CO, High School in 1964.  Following her graduation Sharon married Theo Dell Foreman.  He passed away in 2008.  In 1994 Sharon married Gary Helzer.  Sharon had worked as a CNA at Sunset Manor in Brush and Devonshire Nursing Home in Sterling for many years.

Sharon was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.  She loved to go to lunch with friends at the Fort Morgan Senior Center.  When her health deteriorated, Sharon moved to Hillcrest Apartments where she enjoyed friends, crafts, and ceramic classes.  She collected numerous types of dolls throughout her life.  One doll was a doll that her brother, Mickey, had given her, and one to her sister Katherine, when he returned from the war.  Sharon seemed to love pictures throughout her house showcasing her family and memories through the years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well.

Survivors include her children, Lillian Foreman and Steve Foreman; her sister, Katherine (Dean) Mullenax, her brother, Ed (Ruby) Thom; her grandchildren, Monica (Brian) Pfeiffer, Daniel (Erica) Machado, Savannha Natividad, Dustin (Tosha) Foreman, Michelle Foreman, and Candace Vansickle; and 7 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Minnie Wilkes, Betty Rioto, and Sheryl Thom; her brother, Mickey Thoms; a great grandson Andrew Pfeiffer, her first husband, and her parents.

A memorial service will be held at the Fort Morgan VFW building on Wednesday December 5, 2018 at 3pm.  The service will conclude at the VFW.   In lieu of flowers, family request friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Sharon Foreman Memorial Fund C/O Heer Mortuary.
