Sharon L James, 70, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015, at her home near Castle Rock, CO. She was born August 27, 1945, in Corpus Christi, TX to Howard E. & Millie Shawcross. Following the end of WWII the Shawcross family moved back to Gary, CO. Sharon graduated from Brush High School in 1963. On September 4, 1965, she married her High School Sweetheart, Pat James. Sharon enjoyed Grandchildren, Disneyland, working with Samaritan's Purse, and watching the Colorado Rockies. In the last 10 months Sharon led and inspired her family and many others in a Bible Study that brought everyone together and closer to the Lord. Survivors include her husband, Pat; 2 children Amy (Jake) Jacobsen of Marathon, FL and Mike (Stephanie) James of Essex Junction, VT; 6 grandchildren, Sean, Erik, Megan, Katie, Dawit, and Israel; a sister, Bille Jo Shawcross of Sylva, NC and a brother, Jim Shawcross of Kersey, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Greenwood Community Church, 5600 E. Belleview Avenue in Greenwood Village, CO. A private internment will be in the Abbott Church Cemetery near Lindon, CO.
