Shela E. Garcia, 75, passed away early Saturday, August 3, 2019, at Fairacres Care Center in Greeley following a lengthy illness, recovery from a stroke in April.  She was born April 7, 1944, in Kalispell, MT to Victor & Florence Pound.

On September 28, 1979, Shela married Arturo Garcia in Brighton, CO.  Prior to ill health forcing her retirement, Shela drove a school bus for the Brighton School District for over 27 years.  She transported special needs, Kindergarten through High School students.  She retired with the district to help enjoy raising her grandchildren.

Shela enjoyed camping & fishing, crocheting, and spending time with her family.  She especially enjoyed children, opening her home and adopting several children over the years.

Survivors include her husband, Arturo Garcia; her children, David Foy, Noreen (Keith) Nolf, Normand Foy, John T. (Joanne) Garcia, Nicole (Adrian) Aragon, Latisha Garcia, Patricia (Blair) Umphrey, and Christopher Garcia; 1 brother, Terry Pounds; 2 sisters, Doreen Grilley and Leora "Tootsies" O'Meyer; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Victor "Pete" Pound, Edward Pound, Grant Pound and Cappy Pound; a grandson Nicholas Nolf, and her parents.
