Shelley Rae Raines Holman, 51, longtime area resident of Ft. Morgan, lost her valiant fight with cancer Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home surrounded by friends and family.

Shelley was born November 11, 1965 in Alamosa, CO to Harvey and Joyce (Barber) Holman. Shelley grew up in Sanford, CO where she graduated high school in 1984. She moved to Ft. Morgan in 1989 where she started her family and raised her two sons.

Shelley managed several convenience stores while living in Ft. Morgan. Shelley loved people, she loved interacting with her customers, many became her close friends and her family in Ft. Morgan. She loved to make people smile and laugh. She normally had mischievous grin accompanied by a twinkle in her eye and a laugh that was contagious to all.

Survivors include, two sons, Brandon Holland (Dyanah), of Log Lane Village, and Ryan Holland of Fort Morgan, two sisters, Lynne Staggs of Sanford, and Janice Holman (Martin Dominguez) of Alamosa, one brother, Donald Holman (Michelle) of Alamosa, nieces, Shawna Holman, and Erin Sorensen (Keldon), great niece and nephew, Kristen and Kyler Sorensen, nephews, Dakoda Staggs, Matthew Staggs (Jennifer), Zachary Staggs (Brandi), Mason Holman (Katie), and Clayton Holman (Tara).

Shelley was preceded in death by a nephew, Jacob Dominguez, and her parents.

In honoring Shelley's final request, cremation was selected and a Celebration of Life will be held at Elaine's Place (17590 Co. Rd. T.5 Ft. Morgan, CO) on Saturday, January 14th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Please bring your smiles and your memories of /with Shelley to be shared.

Shelley will be inurned in Sanford, CO near her Grandpa Joe. A graveside memorial will be held in Sanford at a later date.
