Shirley N. Johnson, 90, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center.  She was born June 12, 1931, in Brush to Vern & Viola Holzworth.

Shirley graduated from Stoneham High School in 1949.  In 1949 she married John Johnson.  Shirley worked at Gibson Discount Center in Fort Morgan for over 20 years before she retired.  She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary,  She enjoyed oil & watercolor painting, sewing – especially embroidery work, upholstery repair, visiting with people, and riding throughout the county.

Survivors include her children, Lynelle (Lewis) Camp, Peggy (Glen) Florian, and Wes (Marcia) Johnson; 5 grandchildren, Mike Florian, Corrie Whitley, Vern Johnson, John W. Johnson, and Jay Waldron; and eight great grandchildren, Jacob, and Ethan and Nolan Whitley; Hunter, Lucy, Carter, Alyssa, and Emily Johnson.  She was preceded in death by two brothers Bernard and Bob Holzworth and her parents.

Funeral services will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 10:00 AM.  Concluding service & interment will be in the Prairie View Cemetery in Stoneham.  A potluck reception will follow the cemetery service at the Stoneham Community Building.
