Shirley Mae Petersen, 90, longtime resident of Morgan County, died March 14, 2015 at East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. Shirley was born May 28, 1924 in Witten, South Dakota to Gerald and Edith Shouse. She married Eugene Petersen on August 17, 1951 in Denver, CO. Shirley enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her family. Shirley is survived by her husband, Eugene; Daughter, Lori Jones of Florissant, CO; two sons, Randy (Caroline) Petersen; Rodney (Kathleen) Petersen, both of Log Lane Village; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Helen Yager. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 2:00 PM at the United Presbyterian Church 1300 E. Riverview Ave. in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
