Shirley Joanne Schilling was born to Arthur and Aster Petersen on June 29, 1930.  She had 6 siblings ~ 3 brothers and 3 sisters.  Shirley attended Morey School, Snyder Schools and graduated from Brush High School, class of 1948.  Her working career consisted of Brushland Drugstore at the soda fountain and then a bookkeeper at V & H Furniture for 8 years.  In 1950 Shirley married Robert Schilling in May.  They welcomed 3 children Kurt (deceased), Craig (Mary Jane) ~ Loveland and Becky (Chip) Bailey ~ Littleton.  After raising her family, she began working in the medical field for 33 years and retired at age 75 from Banner Health Clinic in Brush.

Shirley enjoyed many outside interests besides her family and (6) grandchildren ~ Adam, Sarah, Jennifer, Erin, Jordyn & Logan and (5) great grandchildren ~ Austin, Ava, Hayden, Blake and Bailey.  Square Dancing, cards, Scrabble, gardening, her rose garden, the Bronco's, annual sister trips, walking, volunteering and reading were just a few of her loves.

Shirley was preceded in death by husband Robert in 2001 and Kurt in 2007 and several brothers and sisters.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 25th at 10:30 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Brush, Colorado. Inurnment will follow in Brush Memorial Cemetery.
