SHIRLEY J. SCOTT, 77, lifelong Fort Morgan resident, died Saturday morning, September 27, 2008 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. She was born July 21, 1931 in Fort Morgan to Harley & Bernice (Meyers) Scott. Miss Scott enjoyed cooking, needle work, fishing, and being outdoors. She liked her gardens, and especially enjoyed family gatherings. She was an avid Bronco and Rockies Fan. Survivors include her two sisters, Joan Latoski of Dacono and Betty Wolfe of California; two brothers, Clarence Scott of Hillrose and Gerald Scott of Loveland. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Houston and Thelma DeBey; and three brothers, Clayton Scott, Clifford Scott, and Dallas Scott. A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 3, 2008 at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. A potluck will follow the inurnment at the First Baptist Church, 618 Main Street, Fort Morgan. Memorial gifts may be made in Miss Scott's name to the Heer Mortuary, 225 E.
