Shirley Joann Torrez, 73, life resident of Brush, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. She was born June 28, 1939, in Brush to John & Edna Jermark. Shirley married Luciano A. Torrez on December 31, 1955, in Brush. She enjoyed doing embroider work and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her contract ironing work and always listening to Johnny Cash music. Shirley was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Luciano, of Brush; 3 sons, James of St. Helens, OR; Paul and Michael both of Brush; her ½ brother and ½ sister, Jerry Sullivan and Janice Harris both of Virden, IL; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Clarence Jermark, and her parents. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 24, 2013, at 1:30 PM at the All Saints Lutheran Church at Eben Ezer. The service will conclude at the church.
