Shirley Lucille Young, 83, of Fort Morgan, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. She was born June 8, 1938 in Fort Morgan to John G. & Mary (Meyer) Schneider.

Shirley attended area schools and graduated. She married John "Jack" Young in Fort Morgan on June 28, 1958. Though Shirley worked in several clerical positions throughout her life, her greatest joy was being a mother.

In her younger years, Shirley was a den mother and was very supportive in Boy Scouts activities. She also enjoyed sewing. Shirley attended United Presbyterian Church in Fort Morgan.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Jack Young of Fort Morgan; her three sons, Gary Young (Valerie Walker) of Centennial, Mark (Cynthia) Log Lane, and Kevin Young (Don Raney) of Randolph, KS; three brothers, Kenneth (Dorothy) Schneider and Richard (Betty) Schneider, all of Joes and Robert (Kathy) Schneider of Greeley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Harold, Edward, and Wilbur Schneider.

A memorial Service will be Thursday, November 18 ^th at 11:00 AM at the United Presbyterian Church in Fort Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Serenity Falls Columbarium in Fort Morgan at 1:30 PM.
