Sidney Elliot Darling came into this world on Nov. 13, 1999 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona and passed away in Fort Morgan, Colorado on May 22, 2025. Sidney was a true gem to his family. He was the shining light of our lives. He adored his little sister Isobella more than anything in the world. Sidney grew up practicing karate and winning awards.
He was an excellent skateboarder and started riding when he could crawl. Sid could drop into any giant bowl at Denver Skate Park or at any skate park during his travels through Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, California and more. He was an accepting, loving son that would do anything for his friends or anyone that needed help by housing them or feeding them. He was an excellent father to Ezra.
His skills in the visual arts were exceptional too. Sid was very talented at welding, automotive repair and customizing vehicles such as lowriders for his clients. Sidney received two college certificates through Red Rocks Community College while he was in high school. He was also very talented in music, often sitting first or second chair on trumpet from elementary to high school. He played in various Denver area bands, including drums, guitar and vocals.
He is survived by his parents Brandy Darling and Elliot Darling, Step Mom Amy Darling, Sidney's son Ezra Darling and Ezra's mother Erica Astbury, Grandma Annette Astbury and Grandpa Eric Astbury, Grandmother Sandra "Moo" Lundy, her partner Michael Chigro, Ezra's grandfather Richard Langley "PawPaw", Step Grandmother Deborah Langley, Grandma Mary Darling, Grandpa Scott Darling, multiple other family members including cousins, aunts, uncles and a very wide circle of friends.
Sidney will be placed to rest with his sister in Serenity Falls Columbarium at Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan on Saturday, June 28th at 11am. The public is invited to attend. There will be a reception after the service with the location TBD.
