Stanley Edward Erker, 69, of Wiggins, passed away unexpectedly at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood on January 18, 2015, with his family by his side. Stan was born May 23, 1945, in Brighton, Colo. to Edward and Mary Erker. He attended and graduated from Wiggins High School. On November 29, 1969, he married the love of his life, Sharon Bostron in Roggen, Colo. Stan, along with his brother Leon, joined in a farming partnership in 1963 and successfully operated what is known as Erker Brothers and Erker Brothers Ranch. Stan's love for life will be admired and cherished. Aside for his great passion for working the farm and his family, he loved fishing and hunting. One of Stan's greatest thrills was lying in the snow bank calling coyotes. He claimed, "it wasn't about the hunt, but rather the challenge of the call." Stan along with his wife Sharon enjoyed traveling and had many memorable adventures with family and friends. Their travels included: trips to Canada, Alaska, and Corpus Christi. Stan is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon; his daughter Staci Erker of Green River, Wyo.; his son Stanley A. Erker of San Francisco, Calif.; his grandson Cody Bryant of Green River, Wyo.; his four brothers: Leon, Steven, and James, all of Wiggins, Colo. and Michael of Fort Morgan, Colo.; mother-in-law Frieda Erker, and many other family members. Stan is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Erker, and a sister Sheila Baessler.
