Stanley Paul Parsons, 84, of Wiggins, died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Arvada Health Center in Arvada. He was born January 19, 1927 in Salina, Kansas to Jay and Clara (Wilkins) Parsons. Stanley married Dorothy McCartney on February 22, 1946 in Miltonvale, Kansas. They were proud of being married for over 65 years. They moved from Nampa, Idaho to Wiggins in 2001. Parson liked camping, fishing, traveling and in the past enjoyed going to tractor shows and tractor dealerships with his father. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Wiggins, daughters, Ruth Liggett of Arvada, Marilyn Sullivan of Phoenix, Arizona and Genny Gallegos of West Plains, Missouri, sons, Jay Parsons of Northglenn, and Merlin Parsons of Wheatridge, four grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter Tammy Liggett, two sisters, Margaret Fry and Marjorie Ryan and one brother, Wayne Parsons There will be a visitation on Sunday, March 6, 2011 from 2 until 5 pm at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan. Funeral Services will be Monday, March 7, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Morgan Nazarene Church in Ft. Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Memorial Gifts may be made to the Morgan Nazarene Church in Ft. Morgan. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
