Steven Lee Willson, 73, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 in Brush, Colorado.

Steven was born July 30, 1948 in Tooele, Utah to William "Randall" Willson and Betty Boedeker Willson. Steven's greatest passions were his family and his life-long service to others. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. When Steven was 19 he went to England to serve as a missionary for his church for two years.

After his mission, Steven met and married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Bowers in the Mesa Arizona Temple in February 1970. Steven enjoyed serving others professionally and privately. He was a Colorado State Trooper for 10 years, the last eight years in Morgan County. In 1987, Steven and family moved to Fort Collins, where Steven graduated from Colorado State University with his BS, then University of Northern Colorado with his MS. Steven chose to return to Morgan County and opened a business serving as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Five years before retiring, the State Prison in Sterling solicited Steven's professional services.

Steven was a pillar in his community. He volunteered hours of service each week, after work and on the weekends, his entire life. It was Steven's passion to help others. He touched and changed the lives of people from all walks of life. Steven served unpaid in official church leadership positions, ministering to others.

Steven is survived by his wife Barbara and their four children Breton Willson of Sidney, Nebraska, Bryce Willson of Centennial, Colorado, Stephanie Willson of Alexandria, Virginia, and Kimberly Guyton of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and a great grandchild. Steven is survived by his two older siblings Randall A. Willson of Mayfield, Utah and Georgia J. Brady of Sandy, Utah. Steven was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 30, 2021 at 10 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, located at 336 Cherry Street, Fort Morgan, Colorado 80701. Interment will be at Brush Memorial Cemetery.
