Nora Sue Miller, 63, passed away November 5, 2012, at the St. Johns Hospice in Lakewood, CO following a long fight with cancer. She was born October 21, 1949, in Fort Morgan to Paul J. & Minnie (Spencer) Miller. Sue attended, and graduated from Fort Morgan Schools in 1968. In 1982, Sue married Marty Almeraz. Her favorite job was caring for, and teaching Special Needs Children, which she did for seven years until she was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer in February, 2011. The cancer took its toll but Sue fought hard for nearly 2 years. Survivors include her daughter, Sarah Almeraz of Fort Morgan; 5 grandchildren, Damian, McKenzie, Aliea, Sylas, and Isaac; 3 sisters, Dorothy Taylor of Fort Morgan, Joyce Henry and her husband, Delbert of Brush, and DarLinda Sutton and her husband, Don of Denver; and 2 brothers, Roy McGee and his wife, Louise of Denver, and Mike Miller and his wife, Sharon of Fort Morgan. She was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Crane, and her parents. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 13, at 1:30 PM at the Morgan Church of the Nazarene. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the Heer & Dahl Chapel on Monday from 2- 5 PM.
