Susie Mary DeHerrera, 71, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, at the Park View Medical Center in Pueblo, CO.  She was born October 6, 1950, in Costillo, Taos County, New Mexico.

Susie married Anthony Valverde.  In 1989 Susie & Anthony moved to Fort Morgan and raised their girls in a loving home.  She enjoyed playing bingo, going to casino, visiting her sisters and traveling with her husband.  Some of her most precious moments were spending time with her three daughters and her four grandchildren, who she truly loves.

Susie was very caring and made herself available when she was needed.  Susie made an impression on everyone she met and had a wonderful sense of humor.  Susie will truly be missed.

Survivors include her husband, Anthony; 3 daughters, Antionette Mares, Amanda DeHerrera and her husband Jose "Freddy" Reyez, and Crystal DeHerrera; her 4 grandchildren, Infinity, Susie, Javon, and Donovan.  She is also survived by 1 brother, Ron (Sara) Trujillo; and two sisters, Ann (Ralph) Aguiniga, and Dora (Tom) Kouchnerkazith.  Survivors also include her brother-in-law, Tom Archuleta, and sister-in-law, Cecilia Trujillo.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jimmy Trujillo and Robert Trujillo; 3 sisters, Sadia Archuleta, Josephine Autobee, and Stella Minchaca.

A rosary & vigil will be recited at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan on Friday, December 10, at 5 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Brush.
