Obituary

TANYA LEE WILLIAMSON, 32, of Fort Morgan, died Monday at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley after a one and a half year battle with cancer. She was born December 31, 1972 in Fort Riley, KS to William & Christina (Lechman) Williamson. The family came to Fort Morgan from Hawaii in 1981. Williamson attended Fort Morgan schools and graduated from Fort Morgan High School with the class of 1992. She continued her education at Morgan Community College where she studied nursing. She graduated in May of 2006 as an LPN and was working towards her RN until ill health prevented her from doing so. Miss. Williamson worked for Teltec and AT&T before working at Eben-Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. Her education was very important to her, therefore, she dedicated most of her time to her job and her studies. Ms. Williamson was a member of Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Survivors include her parents, William & Christina Williamson of Fort Morgan and her grandparents, Dorothy Lechman of Sterling, CO, Gertrude Williamson of Belen, NM, and LoRene Reed of Apache Junction, AZ. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond Lechman, Dee Williamson, and Bill Williamson, and her brother Mark Williamson. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 - 6 PM at the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary in Fort Morgan. A Rosary will be recited Friday morning at 10:00 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, both at Saint Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Friends who wish may make memorials in Ms. Williamson's name in care of the Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
