Teodosia Perez, 91, longtime Hillrose area resident, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Swedish Medical Hospital in Englewood, CO. She was born July 17, 1932, in San Julian, Jalisco, Mexico, to Jose Rocha and Maria Vasquez. Teodosia married Jesus Maria Perez on February 19, 1950, in Mexico. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary before his death in 2015.

In 1952 the young Perez family moved to Colorado. She was a homemaker who enjoyed a busy life on the farm raising four daughters and five sons. After the children left home to pursue their education, she enjoyed spending time in the yard, woodworking with her husband, and crocheting.

She leaves behind six children to cherish her memory: Elpidia, Ricardo, Jesse, Rodolfo (Karyn), Gloria (Ramon), Rosa, daughter-in-law Rosalie, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a brother Cirilo, a sister Trina, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jesus Maria, her daughter Maria, her two sons, Ruben and Ausencio, and her seven siblings.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 13, at 11:00 AM, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. Before Mass, viewing at 10:00 AM and Rosary at 10:30 AM.

Burial will be at the Brush Memorial Cemetery and this will conclude the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor her devotion to her faith, by asking that any memorial donations be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 340 Stanford St, Brush, CO 80723.
