Teresa Jean (Latch) Groves was born December 9th, 1961 to Alvin Latch and Jeannie K. (Krewson) Latch in Omaha, NE. Teresa died unexpectedly due to complications with a heart cath surgery.

"Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us." On November 18th, Teresa Groves rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings.

Teresa spent her young years in the Fort Morgan and Weldon Valley area. She was homecoming Queen her Junior year at Weldon Valley High School and she was also very involved with Cheerleading and Volleyball.

Teresa married Darin Richards in 1979 and they had two children, Autumn and Dustin Richards. Teresa and Darin later divorced. Teresa then married Rick Groves in 1991 and they had two sons, Brady and Skyler Groves. They lived in Weldona with their children for 25 years until they moved to Snyder, CO four years ago.

Teresa was a cosmetologist in Grand Island, NE and Fort Morgan, CO. She continued her education at Concorde Career Institute in Denver, CO pursuing a Nursing degree, Graduating in 1999. Teresa was a compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others. She was a nurse in Northeast Colorado for many years until she recently became a caregiver to Gene Doty of Fort Morgan.

Teresa's favorite band was Kiss and she absolutely loved 80's music and her 1979 Pontiac TransAm. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, aunt, and daughter. She was the life of the party, loved making people laugh, and she loved so deep.

Left to mourn her passing; Husband, Rick Groves; Mother, Jeannie Daley; Father, Duane Latch; Daughter, Autumn Haley; Sons, Dustin Richards and Brady Groves; Granddaughters, Georgia Klecka, Eva Jean Haley, Hannah Haley, and Nora Groves; Grandson, Ayden Richards; Brother, Allan Latch; and Uncle, Freddie Krewson.

She was preceded in death by her Son, Skyler Groves; Brother, Tim Daley; and Grandmother, Nelly Krewson.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 29 ^th at 10:00 AM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel, 225 E. Platte Ave. in Fort Morgan. A luncheon will follow at the former VFW building, 208 W. Beaver Ave. in Fort Morgan, beginning at 11:30 AM. The family will hold a private committal service in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
