Thelma M. Williams, 85, former Snyder area resident, passed away Friday, August 13, 2010, at the North Pointe Health & Rehab Center in Fort Worth, TX. She was born July 31, 1925, in Beeler, KS. On March 20, 1943, Thelma married Gordon E. Williams in Ness City, KS. The Williams family lived in several different areas as Gordon was serving our country in the US Army. The Williams family moved to Snyder in 1973 when Gordon retired from the US Army. While living in Snyder, Thelma was an active member of the Snyder Homebuilders Club. In 2001, Thelma moved to Fort Worth, TX to be closer to her children. Survivors include one son, Todd of Haslet, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 daughters, Cheri and Michelle; 1 brother, Gaston Young; 4 sisters, Opal Sculley, Olive Grieve, Zelda Robbins, and Dorothy Giles; and her parents. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at 1:00 PM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
