Obituary

Theodore W. Wolfe, 76, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the North Colorado Medical Center Hospice Inpatient Unit in Greeley after battling with pancreatic cancer. He was born October 5, 1931, in Fleming, CO, to Ueal & Evelyn (Hradecky) Wolfe. He was serving in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953 - 1954 when a family emergency called him home to raise five of his eight siblings. On January 28, 1956, Ted married Norma Mildenberger in Sterling, CO. Ted worked as an electrician, first for Bozarth Electric and then in 1979 the Wolfe family moved to Brush. Prior to his retirement he worked at the Pawnee Power Station SW of Brush. Ted was a very active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. He is well remembered for all of his contributions to St. Mary's for his maintenance work around the church facilities. He and a friend were affectionately known as "Frick & Frack". Ted was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Tri-City Elks Lodge, and a life member of the VFW in Sterling, CO. Survivors include his wife, Norma, of Brush; 3 children, Scott, and his wife Chris, of Brighton, CO, Lisa Seastrom, and her husband Larry, of Greeley, and Neal of Thornton; 1 sister, Maryule Johnson of Laramie, WY; 4 brothers, Bob of Greeley, Don of Sterling, Jerry of Broomfield, and Chuck of Denver; and 4 grandsons, Layne Harris, Mason Metzger, Brayden and Brodie Wolfe. He is also survived by 29 nieces and nephews. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers; Gene, Ed and Rich and 1 sister Cleota Marie. Ted touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all. A rosary & vigil will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at 7:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brush. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
