Obituary

Therese was born October 4th, 1930, in Jenks, Oklahoma to Harry and Hazel Gish. Therese was welcomed by older sisters Lila Lee (1927-2013) and Donna Marie (1929). The three sisters later welcomed brother Dale Wallace (1935-2020).

In 1941 the family moved to Stafford, Kansas. Then in 1948 the family decided to move again to Ulysses, Kansas.

Therese graduated from Ulysses High school in 1949. Then in 1950 she married Forrest Wayne Isley. Together they had Gail Lynn Isley in 1954. The couple divorced in 1966 and Therese moved to Pueblo, CO to complete her college degree at Southern Colorado State College. Therese then began her career in the field of Social Work in 1969. After 21years with the Department of Social Services she retired.

Therese's love for Stafford, KS brought her back to the area to visit for many years. Therese then made the decision to purchase her parents old home on Main Street in Stafford. She then split her time between her home in Stafford, KS and her home in Pueblo, CO. While spending time in Stafford, she met Melvin Fritzemeier and the couple married in 1998. Upon Melvin's passing in 2002, Therese returned home to Pueblo.

Therese is survived by her sister Donna Marie Roberts, daughter Gail Lynn Hawkins (Joe), grandson Justin Wayne Hawkins (Julie), granddaughter Brandi Jo French (Michael) and great grandchildren: Melissa Jo Hawkins, Levi Wayne Hawkins, Macyn Isley French, Michael Brody French, Makenna Walker French and Madison Hawkins French.
