Thomas Dean Buchanan, 49, lifelong area resident, died, Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at his home in Ft. Morgan. He was born September 18, 1961 in Ft. Morgan to Franklin and Lois (Stevens) Buchanan. Thomas enjoyed shooting pool, tinkering on cars, and had a heart of gold. He loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews, and they were very important to him. Survivors include his mother, Lois Buchanan of Ft. Morgan, brothers, Frank Buchanan Jr. of Ft. Morgan, John Buchanan of Ft. Morgan, Jerry Buchanan of Wray, Bob Buchanan of Ft. Morgan and Pat Buchanan of Ft. Morgan. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Frank Buchanan. There will be a visitation on Sunday, July 3, 2011 from 5 until 7 pm at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Morgan. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church in Ft. Morgan. Services will conclude at the church. Tom's body will be cremated and his family will have a private committal service for him at a later date in Riverside Cemetery. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan, is in charge of the arrangements.
