Thomas A. Dugan, 88, formerly of Brush, CO passed away Friday April 24, 2020 at NCMC Banner Health.
He was born October 9, 1931 in Providence, RI. to John and Evelyn (Miller) Dugan.
Survivors include his children Deborah Panesi, West Jordan, UT, Dawn (Jimmy) Houston, Mercer, PA, (Adam) Thomas Dugan Jr., Brush, CO, Michael (Penny) Dugan, Greeley, CO, 11 grandchildren, 18 great granchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
He is also survived by 1 brother Joseph Dugan, Cranston, RI, and 2 sisters Margaret Bilodeau and Diane Jourdain (Jim Schatz) all of Bradenton, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret (Peggy) of 63 years and 5 brothers and 1 sister.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart.
He also served in the US Coast Guard and was on the 1st Cutter Ship called the "Spar" to circumnavigate the transit of the Northwest Passage by a Vessel under the United States Flag. They were considered the Conquering Heroes of the Northwest Passage.
He worked for General Dynamics Electric Boat Company in Groton, CT building submarines.
Later he moved to Colorado and became a member of the Pipefitters Union Local 208 and retired with over 40 years of service.
Services and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date due to COVID-19 restrictions and safety concerns for family requiring to travel.
He will be missed by All.
