Funeral services will be held for Thomas Joseph Glasco, 71, on March 27, 2018. Thomas returned to the loving arms of his Creator, the Lord Jesus on March 23, 2018 in hospice care at Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan. Thomas passed peacefully with his loving wife Pricilla at his side. Tom's health declined after being diagnosed with Parkinson's illness.

Tom was born to Mary Francis and Harold Glasco, May 6, 1946 in Benkelman, NE. He grew up on the family farm in Cheyenne County Kansas. Tom graduated from Kearney State with his undergraduate degree in Education in 1970 and taught English for three years before returning to college to get his Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska in 1975. Tom used his degree in a variety of capacities in social work. Tom was the director of a drug and alcohol program, a LCSW therapist. Tom ran the court ordered Men Who Batter group and had his own private practice in Cody, WY. He received the American Patriotism Award for prevention of suicide and injury to others after talking down a student with a gun in the high school he worked at. He also received a Courage Award for advocacy of the mentally ill and their unique plight.

Tom married Priscilla (Thiel) Silva on July 3, 2001 in Loveland.

Tom had a love of nature, poetry and human kind that lead him into publishing poetry books and sharing his work with schools and communities.

Tom kept very active, fly-fishing and hiking. One of his favorite adventures was backpacking through Yellow Stone Park. He and Priscilla enjoyed many trips together.

Tom is survived by his wife, Priscilla; daughter, Lisa Marie and son, Tyler and five grandchildren; six brothers, Larry, Jim, John, Clair, Robert, Paul; three sisters, Janet King, Ann Sullivan, and Rosemary Blair. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and brothers, Alan and Mark.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 27th  at 2:00 p.m. at Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan, CO. Pastor Paul Ziegler will officiate. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Visitation will be today March 26th from 5:00-7:00 p.m., also at the mortuary.

Memorial gifts may be made in Tom's name in care of Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan.
