Thomas Leo Kopetzky, 56, longtime Morgan County resident, passed away of natural causes on Saturday, May 26, 2018. He was born June 17, 1961, in Denver to Francis & Dorothy Kopetzky.

Tom attended school in Wiggins. On August 18, 1984, he married Wanda Gerstenberger in Fort Morgan.   He was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Wiggins.

Tom had a unique ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.  He obtained many trade skills including machining, carpentry, welding, and mechanic.  Tom's favorite hobbies were fishing and camping.  He favorite time was spent with his family.

Survivors include his children, Nina (Nate) Kingsbury of Greeley; Michael (Heidi) Kopetzky and Diane Kopetzky all of Brush; David (Casey) Kopetzky of Ault; Steven Kopetzky of Keenesburg, CO; Jaclyn Kopetzky and Bernadette Kopetzky both of Evans, CO; and Rebecca Kopetzky of Aurora, CO; 5 grandchildren, Katrinka Ramalia; Lucas, Emma, Brayden and Reid Kopetzky.  Also by 4 brothers, John (Paula), Joe (Kathy), Bob (Karol), and Steve (Sara) all of Wiggins; and his sister, Mary Paycheck of Wiggins and Betty Snelson of Fort Morgan; and his brother-in-law, Rodney Rhoades. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barb Rhoades and his brother-in-law Rob Paycheck. Tom has several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and a host of friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Saint Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan and 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Hoyt Cemetery. A rosary will be recited Friday at 6:00 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Wiggins. The Heer Mortuary is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
