Thomas Richard Ledford, 80, passed away November 1, 2023. after a long illness. Born in Greeley Colorado, Thomas (better known as Dick) served in the military, worked as a mechanic, and was a proud father and grandfather.

Dick was in the Army, stationed at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone Maine, where his two daughters were born. He returned to Colorado and made his home in Wiggins. He ran his own auto repair business for nearly 30 years, losing his first shop to a fire and relocating Ledford's Automotive to Main Street.

He loved anything with a motor, especially classic cars and motorcycles.  The first week of August often found him riding to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, admiring the custom bikes and meeting folks from around the country. But most of the time he enjoyed his patio and garden, watching TV, and cooking homemade bread and pizza and candy at Christmas.

Dick was proud of the business he built but was even more proud of his family.  He loved watching his two daughters grow up and start their careers and family. Becoming 'Papo' was a highlight of his life.  Granddaughter Tiffany put him in charge of nap time and was his best 'helper'.  Family always included pets, from his boyhood dog, Butch to shih-tsu, Petey and all the grand dogs over the years.

Dick was a son to Luther Ledford and Malene (Crownover) Miller and husband to Delores (Lake) Ledford. He will be deeply missed by his daughters Gwen (Allen) Steffen of Wiggins and Angela (Mark) Anderson of Annandale, VA; Grandchildren Tiffany Steffen of Windsor; Amy (Eduardo) Garcia and James (Kelli) Anderson, of Stafford, VA; and five bonus Great Grandchildren, and five grand-dogs.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
