Obituary

Thomas Morris Parker Jr., 87, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024. He was currently living in Longmont.

He was born in Haydon, CO on March 13, 1937, to Thomas Morris Parker Sr. and Ruth Lee Parker. He was the oldest of five children with siblings, Sharon, Quentin, Patrick, and Linda.

Tom worked in the sheet metal construction industry for 45 years before his retirement. He was also a devoted Freemason for 50 years.

Tom's hobbies were trains and photography. He photographed the moon landing on television and loved to chase trains, photograph trains, and ride trains. He rode across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Tom was known for his kindness and generosity. He always bought everyone a beautiful gold ornament for their Christmas Trees every year.

Tom was together with Karen Espedal for 35 years until he lost her to the COVID pandemic.

He is survived by his five children (and their spouses), Tom, Diana, Tim, Tammy Sue, Tammy Ruth, Traci, Ted and Jill. He had six grandchildren, Brad, Mike, Christine, Tristan, Jermony, and Ben; and seven great grandchildren, Jordan, Hunter, Zoie, Madison, Damien, Jocelyn, and Issadora.

A funeral service will be Monday, January 6, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
