Thomas A. Vadakin, 86, passed away Friday, April 4, 2008, at his home in Fort Morgan, CO. He was born July 7, 1921, in Hollywood, CA, to George & Gladys Vadakin. He served in the US Army from 1940 until his discharge in 1946. On April 4, 1942, Thomas married Norann Koch in Fort Ord, CA. Prior to retirement, Thomas served as a police officer in Buffalo, NY. He was involved in law enforcement for 32 years. I n 1992 the Vadakin family moved to Fort Morgan. He was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church, the Elks Lodge, and VFW #3551. Tom enjoyed doing things around his home. Survivors include his wife, Norann of Fort Morgan; 4 children, Thomas J., and his wife, Noreen; Mary Ann Vaughn, and her husband, Kent; George, and his wife, Cindy, and Paul, and his wife, Lily, 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters and his parents. A funeral Mass will be said Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at 10:30 AM at St. Helena Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. The service will conclude at the church. Private inurnment will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
