Obituary

Tom (Thomas) Moses Gonzales of Brush, Colorado passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.

Tom was born to Frances Sue Olivas and Moses Gonzales in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He volunteered and honorably served the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war earning numerous medals. He had been a Deputy Sheriff, worked in mining, worked for Excel/Cargill for 40 years, and worked for Pizza Hut for 32 years. He was a Lay-Minister who enjoyed living life, studying the Bible, being with his family, spending time with and helping people, observing the world around him, reading, cooking, gardening, fishing, nature, movies, music, being creative, working on vehicles, and had a lifelong love of learning.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry and granddaughter Emma Lucia. Surviving are his daughter Melissa, son-in-law Robert and grandson Kingston who was his pride and joy.

Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Morgan at 1:00pm on Monday, March 27. Burial will follow at Brush Memorial Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to gather following burial at Pizza Hut in Brush. In memory of Tom, contributions may be made to his grandson (in care of Melissa) for his education.
